Preeti S Nayyar has stepped down from Universal Music Group, bringing to a close an 8.5-year tenure with the organisation, where she most recently served as Senior Vice-President and Business Head for UMG for Brands.
During her time with UMG for Brands, Nayyar played a key role in scaling the company’s branded music ecosystem and driving culture-led initiatives across the region. Her work focused on building high-impact collaborations between artists and brands, alongside developing content-driven campaigns and unique intellectual properties that strengthened the company’s positioning in the branded entertainment space.
She joined Universal Music Group in 2017 as Vice-President of New Business and Brand Partnerships for India and South Asia, marking a significant phase in a career that spans multiple segments of the media and entertainment industry. Over the years, she contributed to expanding strategic partnerships and unlocking new revenue streams through innovative brand integrations.
Before her stint at UMG, Nayyar held senior leadership roles at The Walt Disney Company and Fox Star Studios, where she led brand associations and partnerships. Her professional journey also includes experience in media monetisation and sales at Reliance Broadcast Network and Radio Mirchi, along with earlier roles at Business Standard and India Today.
