Senior news anchor Palki Sharma has sparked curiosity and, possibly, a new chapter in her professional career after teasing a new project titled ‘India Global Review’ (IGR) in a post on X, offering little beyond a graphic and the caption “INDIA GLOBAL REVIEW #IGR”.
The teaser, which carried a simple “Coming Soon” message, did not reveal whether ‘India Global Review’ is part of an existing media network, a standalone venture, or a digital-first content platform. The lack of specifics has led to speculation within media circles about the format, positioning, and potential platform of the project.
The development comes shortly after Sharma’s exit from Network18, where she served as Managing Editor for over three years. During her tenure, she hosted ‘Vantage’, a global affairs-focused monologue programme on Firstpost and CNN-News18 that debuted in January 2023 and steadily built a strong audience base.
Before joining Network18, Sharma was associated with WION, where she anchored the widely followed prime-time show ‘Gravitas’. Over a journalism career spanning nearly 25 years, she has also worked with organisations such as ITV Network, Doordarshan News and The Hindustan Times.
