News18 SheShakti, one of India’s most prominent platforms recognising women leaders, is set to return for its third edition this year, marking a significant milestone with the launch of its first-ever regional chapter in Mumbai.
The Mumbai edition, presented by Lions International, will take place on July 31 and will set the tone for the grand culmination in Delhi on August 21. Themed “From Breaking Barriers to Building Bharat”, SheShakti 2025 aims to highlight the remarkable role women play in shaping a stronger, more inclusive India.
According to a press release, ‘News18 SheShakti 2025’ in partnership with Lions Clubs International, will celebrate the resilience, spirit, and determination of women across various sectors who are playing a pivotal role in driving change and growth. This edition seeks to bring together changemakers, thought leaders, and achievers from across the country to share their stories and inspire a future built on progress, unity, and hope.
The inaugural Mumbai chapter will place a special emphasis on the contributions of women from Maharashtra who are leading innovation, shaping policy, and making waves in fields such as entrepreneurship, entertainment, education, governance, and social reform. It aims to shine a spotlight on how these women are laying the foundation for a progressive Bharat through vision and action.
A stellar line-up of speakers and guests will feature at the summit, including Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Sujata Saunik (IAS Retd.), Ashwini Bhide, and Sunaina Tomar from the Gujarat government. The event will also host international dignitaries like H.E. Ambassador Chavanart Thangsumphant from Thailand and Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Slovenian Ambassador to India, lending a global lens to the dialogue.
Notable voices from business and entrepreneurship will include Naiyya Saggi, Founder & CEO of Edition; Priyanka Salot of The Sleep Company; Priti Rathi Gupta of LXME; and Laxmi Iyer of Bajaj Finserv, among others. The stage will also welcome creative and sports personalities like actors Nimrat Kaur, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Renuka Shahane, along with Olympian Anjali Bhagwat and para-badminton star Manasi Joshi.
RJ Malishka (Red FM), RJ Stutee (Fever FM), and RJ Archana (Radio City) will represent the media world, while Sarita Sonawale, Savitri Bai Phule Awardee, will share insights on advocacy and social work.
