News18 Marathi successfully organised ‘Krishi Parishad 2026’, a major initiative aimed at empowering Maharashtra’s farming community through knowledge sharing, innovation, and discussions on the future of agriculture.
According to a News18 Marathi press release, the event brought together agri-entrepreneurs, agriculture experts, and progressive farmers on a single platform to discuss new opportunities in the sector and promote sustainable farming practices. The main focus was on improving farming methods and encouraging the use of modern technology in agriculture.
Maharashtra’s agriculture minister Dattatray Vithoba Bharne attended the event as the chief guest. He shared his views on the changing agricultural landscape and explained various government initiatives supporting farmers. He also stressed the importance of innovation, sustainability, and cooperation in strengthening the farming sector.
The conference featured multiple panel discussions and presentations on key topics such as allied agricultural businesses, modern farming techniques, climate change challenges, and sustainable agriculture practices. experts and industry leaders shared their experiences, success stories, and practical solutions to help farmers improve productivity and income.
Several prominent participants and organisations from the agriculture sector took part in the event. These included representatives from RS Agroavatar, Poorva Chemtech, Ashtavinayak HiTech Nursery, Chamorshi Taluka Sahakari Sangh (Gadchiroli), Venkatesh Happy Organic Products, Ashok Agricultural Borewell Stimulation Services, Poshinda Organic, Confidence Petroleum India Limited (Nagpur), Ardra Corporation Private Limited, Kanhaiya Agro, Baramati Eco Systems and Technology Pvt. Ltd., and Abhimanyu Ramdas Nagawade. All of them shared their insights and real-world experiences with the audience.
The event also highlighted success stories and practical farming solutions, encouraging farmers to adopt new-age technologies and more resilient farming models that can handle changing climate conditions.
The programme concluded with an in-depth interview of agriculture minister Dattatray Vithoba Bharne, where he discussed the key challenges faced by farmers in Maharashtra and highlighted the importance of innovation, sustainability, and collective efforts for agricultural growth.
