Netflix has officially dropped the trailer of ‘Rana Naidu’ S2, offering a fiery first look into the upcoming high-stakes drama. The highly anticipated sequel to one of Netflix India’s most-watched series of 2023 will premiere globally on June 13.
According to an official Netflix press release, this new chapter deepens the personal turmoil and raises the stakes. Rana Naidu, the man who once cleaned up messes for the rich and reckless, now finds himself entangled in a battle where his own family is on the line. The rules have changed and so has Rana. As the Naidu household teeters on the edge of emotional and moral collapse, the consequences of old grudges and buried secrets begin to explode with terrifying force.
Season 1 introduced viewers to the adrenaline-charged life of Rana, a man skilled at covering tracks and burying scandals. But the arrival of his estranged father Naga Naidu, played by Venkatesh Daggubati, ignited a storm of unresolved pain and rage. In Season 2, things spiral even further with the introduction of a new nemesis, Rauf, played by Arjun Rampal, whose vendetta could destroy everything Rana holds dear.
Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, said, “We’re excited to bring back ‘Rana Naidu’, our successful action drama franchise, within two years of its first season. In Season 1, Rana fixed everyone’s problems but his own. This time, the fight is personal — it’s for the family.”
Real-life uncle-nephew duo Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati once again headline the stormy father-son dynamic that sits at the centre of this gripping saga. The ensemble cast also features Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee and Dino Morea.
Producer Sunder Aaron said, “We’re thrilled to return to the gritty, high-voltage world of ‘Rana Naidu’. The response to the first season was incredible. This chapter delivers more heart, more fire, and a whole lot more drama, all woven into a gripping, explosive narrative.”
Directed by Karan Anshuman along with Suparn S. Varma and Abhay Chopra, and produced by Sunder Aaron of Locomotive Global, ‘Rana Naidu’ S2 starts streaming on Netflix starting June 13.
