Netflix has announced ‘Ad Vitam Eternam’, the sequel to its 2025 action thriller ‘Ad Vitam’, starring Guillaume Canet. The announcement was made on August 10, 2026.
The story follows Franck after he survives an assassination attempt following his release from prison. He goes into hiding with his family in the mountains, but French intelligence agents soon track him down.
They offer Franck a deal: he must take part in a secret mission in exchange for the truth about who is trying to kill him.
The sequel, currently carrying the working title ‘Ad Vitam Eternam’, will be directed by Ludovic Colbeau-Justin. Guillaume Canet and Maxime Chattam have written the film, with David Corona also collaborating on the script.
The cast includes Guillaume Canet, Stephane Caillard, Nassim Lyes, Zita Hanrot, Nicolas Duvauchelle, Sophie Marceau and Mathieu Amalric.
The film will be produced by Cabanes Productions, with Guillaume Canet and Jean Cottin as producers. Filming locations include areas across France, including Île-de-France, Normandy, Savoie and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
