NDTV has appointed veteran journalist Rahul Shrivastava as Consulting Editor, strengthening the network’s political and national affairs coverage.

According to NDTV, Shrivastava has nearly four decades of experience in print, television and digital media. He has held senior editorial roles at Jist News, India Today Group and NDTV.

He previously served as Political Editor at NDTV from 1999 to 2017. He is known for his political reporting, analysis and interviews, and has covered several major developments in Indian politics.

Shrivastava holds a B.A. (Honours) degree in Economics from the University of Delhi.Commenting on the appointment, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said Shrivastava is among India’s experienced political journalists and has a strong understanding of the country’s political institutions, personalities and electoral landscape.

Kanwal added that Shrivastava’s editorial judgement and reporting experience will strengthen NDTV’s political coverage.

Rahul Shrivastava said he looks forward to contributing his experience to NDTV’s coverage and helping audiences understand the political developments and decisions shaping the country.

In his new role, Shrivastava will contribute to political reporting, anchoring, analysis and editorial coverage at NDTV.
