The Market Research Society of India (MRSI), India’s leading industry-led market research body, has announced the formation of its new Managing Committee for the tenure of 2024-2027. Nitin Kamat, Chief Growth & Partnerships Officer at TAM Media Research Pvt. Ltd., has been elected as the new President, succeeding Paru Minocha, Managing Director, South Asia, Insights Division at Kantar.
Nitin Kamat, who previously served as the treasurer for MRSI‘s Managing Committee (2022-2024) and was a part of the MRSI’s ISEC Committee, expressed his honor and commitment to leading the organization. He emphasized the importance of engaging new minds and maintaining high standards while implementing innovative ideas and initiatives. Kamat also highlighted a new focus on building trust, in addition to the existing pillars of Profile, Pride, and Network.
The new Managing Committee, announced at MRSI’s 36th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai, also includes:

Outgoing President Paru Minocha congratulated the new committee and reflected on the significant initiatives undertaken during her tenure, including the launch of the Socio-economic Classification System ‘ISEC’ and the Market Sizing report of FY 2022-23. She expressed confidence in the new leadership’s ability to continue driving the organization’s vision forward.
The former Managing Committee’s strategic focus on building Profile, Pride, and Network has seen successful implementation and widespread adoption of the ISEC system by major industry stakeholders such as The Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA), ITC, HUL, Marico, Dabur India, and leading research and media agencies. MRSI also indicated positive growth in the market research sector, with a formal announcement of The Indian Research & Insights Industry 2024 Update scheduled for September 2024.
Kamat’s presidency promises to strengthen global connections, deepen government relations, and drive initiatives for active participation from regional players, ensuring the continued advancement and influence of India’s market research industry.
