MovieVerse Studios is strengthening its footprint across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with the global release of its first Telugu feature film, ‘Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi’, scheduled to hit theatres on January 30, 2026. The film will open across more than 400 screens worldwide, marking a significant milestone in the studio’s long-term regional expansion strategy.
According to a trade article issued on January 28, the film’s wide release spans Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, along with key international markets including the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. The release underlines MovieVerse Studios’ intent to back strong regional stories with the potential to travel beyond language and geography, while building a scalable presence in the Telugu film ecosystem.
‘Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi’ stars Tharun Bhascker, Eesha Rebba, Dhaassyam and Brahmaji, and is directed by A.R. Sajeev. Set against the backdrop of the Godavari districts, the film tells the story of Omkar Naidu, an angry and domineering man, and his wife Prashanthi, who gives up her dreams after marriage and endures emotional harassment. The narrative explores how she eventually confronts and challenges his arrogance, blending humour with heartfelt moments to present a family entertainer rooted in everyday relationships.

Speaking about the broader content philosophy, Aditya Pittie, Managing Director of The EPIC Company, said MovieVerse Studios represents the group’s focused push into theatrical filmmaking. He noted that the Telugu release marks a significant step in the company’s strategic entry into the regional market, aligned with its vision of building scalable, market-ready content across languages and platforms.
Vivek Krishani, Chief Executive Officer of MovieVerse Studios, highlighted the studio’s commitment to collaborating with regional storytellers and taking rooted Indian narratives to national and global audiences. Emphasising the emotional depth of Telugu cinema, he described the film as an important milestone in forging long-term relationships within the Telugu film industry.
With hands-on involvement across production, marketing and distribution, MovieVerse Studios has been steadily positioning itself as a trusted name in mainstream and regional cinema. As it deepens its presence in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the studio is aiming to build on this momentum with a slate of stories that celebrate regional voices while resonating across markets, signalling a sustained push into South Indian cinema.
