MovieVerse Studios, the mainstream content arm of IN10 Media Network, has joined hands with JOJO Studios, the newly launched film division of JOJO App, to announce their first Gujarati film — a wholesome family entertainer that marks a double milestone for both companies. The film’s shoot will begin this Navratri.
This collaboration marks MovieVerse Studios’ debut in Gujarati cinema and JOJO Studios’ first foray into films. According to a MovieVerse Studios report, the project reflects the growing momentum of Gujarati cinema, which has steadily expanded its presence over the past decade. Strong storytelling, humor, emotion, and cultural relatability have propelled Gujarati films to significant box office numbers not only in Gujarat but also across neighboring states, attracting mainstream investments into the industry.
The upcoming film stars Raunaq Kamdar, Mitra Gadhvi, and Shraddha Dangar in lead roles and is directed by Kilol Parmar. Positioned as a pan-Gujarati family entertainer, the film aims to deliver content that resonates deeply with audiences while retaining wide commercial appeal.
Aditya Pittie, Managing Director, IN10 Media Network, highlighted the importance of regional cinema in shaping the future of Indian entertainment. “Regional cinema is the growth frontier for Indian entertainment, and Gujarati films are leading that wave with content that resonates far beyond the state’s borders. Our first Gujarati film, in collaboration with JOJO Studios, reflects our belief in the market’s potential and our commitment to telling stories that are both rooted and widely appealing,” he said.
Dhruvin Shah, Founder of JOJO Studios, expressed excitement about the partnership, calling it a timely move. “Gujarati cinema has evolved into a commercially robust and creatively exciting space, making it the right time for JOJO Studios to step into films. This collaboration is a testament to our vision of bringing engaging, accessible, and family-driven entertainment to audiences,” Shah noted.
Echoing the sentiment, Vivek Krishnani, CEO, MovieVerse Studios, emphasized the strategic value of the venture. “At MovieVerse Studios, our focus is on building a slate of films that balance creative strength with audience demand. JOJO App is already one of the biggest entertainment platforms in Gujarat, and we are glad that as JOJO launches its film studio, we are joining hands with them on this exciting project. Together, we are confident of delivering a film that audiences will wholeheartedly enjoy,” he said.
With this collaboration, both MovieVerse and JOJO Studios seek to strengthen Gujarati cinema’s growing presence on the national stage while catering to the expanding appetite for quality regional content.
