Amazon MX Player has unveiled the official first look of ‘Made in India – A Titan Story’, a compelling series chronicling the creation of Titan and the extraordinary vision of J.R.D. Tata.
The announcement coincides with the 11th anniversary of the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ campaign.
Headlined by Naseeruddin Shah as J.R.D. Tata and Jim Sarbh as Xerxes Desai, the series is set to stream exclusively and free of cost across Amazon MX Player early next year, offering audiences a rare glimpse into the challenges and triumphs behind building one of India’s most iconic brands.
According to an Amazon press release, ‘Made in India – A Titan Story’ delves into Titan’s journey from a daring idea to a globally recognized brand, highlighting the vision, resilience, and ambition that shaped its legacy. The first look video captures the young Titan team navigating skepticism and adversity while pursuing their groundbreaking dream. The series brings to life the boardroom decisions, factory floor challenges, and entrepreneurial grit that turned Titan into a symbol of national pride, encapsulated in the tagline: “If we don’t create history, then who will?”
Produced by Prabhleen Sandhu of Almighty Motion Picture, directed by Robby Grewal, and penned by Karan Vyas, the series also features Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra in pivotal roles. Speaking about the project, Naseeruddin Shah said, “Portraying J.R.D. Tata is both a privilege and a responsibility. He combined vision with humanity, and this story is intertwined with the making of modern India. Made in India is not just about a company, it is about a legacy that continues to inspire generations.”
Jim Sarbh, who essays Xerxes Desai, added, “Desai was a visionary who saw possibilities where others doubted. Portraying him allowed me to explore the conviction it takes to build something enduring from scratch. This series is about grit, innovation, and believing in an idea larger than oneself.”
The series will be accessible across multiple platforms, including the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xstream. Users can simply search for MX Player on Amazon’s shopping app or download the dedicated MX Player app to access the content.
‘Made in India – A Titan Story’ is part of Amazon MX Player’s broader focus on original content, which also includes shows like ‘Ek Badnaam Aashram’, ‘Campus Diaries’, ‘Jamnapaar’, ‘Half CA’, ‘Dehati Ladke’, and ‘Who’s Your Gynac’. The platform additionally offers a rich array of international content dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu under MX Vdesi, catering to a diverse audience with a mix of compelling drama, romance, and entertainment.
With this series, Amazon MX Player aims to celebrate India’s entrepreneurial spirit, showcasing stories that inspire and resonate with viewers nationwide.
