Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has officially launched the title look of an upcoming Tamil film starring Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar. Titled ‘Modha Rathiri’, the film is directed by Raja Karuppasamy and marks an important step for the young team behind the project.
According to an IANS report, the title poster was unveiled by Lokesh Kanagaraj on social media, where he extended his wishes to the cast and crew, expressing hope for the film’s success. The project is being backed by Mythri Movie Makers, making it the banner’s third Tamil production after establishing a strong presence in Telugu cinema.
Directed by Raja Karuppasamy, ‘Modha Rathiri’ is said to revolve around a gripping and unusual premise set around a wedding night that takes an unexpected turn. What begins as a celebration soon spirals into chaos, with secrets, surprises, and emotional twists unfolding over the course of a single night, setting the tone for an intense narrative.
The film brings together a mix of emerging and experienced actors, with Anishma Anilkumar continuing to build on the attention she received for her earlier performances. The ensemble cast also includes names like Chetan, A. Venkatesh, Abdool Lee, Shelly Kishore, Banupriya, and Sumithra Devi, among others, adding depth to the storytelling.
Producer Naveen Yerneni emphasised the banner’s intent to back content-driven cinema alongside large-scale entertainers, noting that the story’s unique appeal made it an immediate choice for production. Director Raja Karuppasamy, who is making his debut, described the project as both a challenge and an opportunity, highlighting the creative freedom extended by the production house.
With a strong technical team supporting the film, including cinematographer Surendran Paranjothi, editor Ashok Arjunan, and music composer Bharath Sankar, ‘Modha Rathiri’ is shaping up as a promising addition to Tamil cinema, blending fresh talent with an intriguing narrative at its core.
