Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced the theatrical release date of its upcoming action-comedy ‘VIBE’, which is set to hit cinemas on September 18, 2026. The film marks a major milestone for actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu, who has written and directed the project while also starring in it.
According to a press release, the film is being produced by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under their banner Drongo Films. The project also marks the first production venture for the studio.
One of the biggest highlights surrounding the film is the return of Preity G Zinta to the big screen. The actor will be seen alongside Kunal Kemmu, while Sparsh Shrivastava and newcomer Vanshika Dhir also play key roles in the film.
The story revolves around two inseparable friends whose simple and ordinary lives suddenly spiral into chaos after they get caught in a dangerous and high-stakes situation far beyond their imagination. The makers describe the film as a fast-paced action-comedy packed with friendship, survival, humour and unpredictable twists.
Kunal Kemmu, who has previously earned praise for his acting performances and filmmaking sensibilities, takes complete creative charge of the project as both writer and director. Industry circles are already viewing ‘VIBE’ as one of the more anticipated commercial entertainers lined up for later this year, especially with its mix of comedy, action and adventure-driven storytelling.
The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios as part of its growing focus on Indian theatrical and entertainment content. With a cast that blends established performers and emerging talent, ‘VIBE’ is expected to target younger audiences while also offering a large-scale theatrical experience.
‘VIBE’ will release in theatres worldwide on September 18, 2026.
