Sony Entertainment Television’s flagship non-fiction shows, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) and ‘India’s Best Dancer’ (IBD), have experienced remarkable growth in viewership during Week 39 of 2024.
Both shows have captured audiences’ attention, recording significant increases in average viewership—KBC saw an 11 percent rise, while IBD surged by 23 percent.
Now in its 16th season, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, continues to be a prime-time favorite. Contestants have faced high-stakes challenges, with Ujjwal Prajapat exiting with INR 50 Lakhs and 22-year-old Chander Prakash, a UPSC aspirant from Jammu & Kashmir, making headlines by winning the INR 1 Crore prize. The show’s emotional depth, combined with Bachchan’s captivating presence, has drawn in viewers, contributing to an average watch time of 40.9 minutes.
Meanwhile, ‘India’s Best Dancer’, featuring fan-favorite judges Dharmesh Yelande, Punit J Pathak, and Raghav Juyal, continues to entertain with electrifying performances and dynamic chemistry. Their engaging interactions have made the show a must-watch for dance enthusiasts across India.
