Veteran actor and politician Kamal Haasan has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated film, ‘Indian 2: Zero Tolerance’, which will hit theaters worldwide on July 12.
Haasan broke the news on his social media handle, X (formerly Twitter), sharing an intriguing first-look poster of the film. The image features a dramatic silhouette of a man riding a horse, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.
Haasan captioned the post, “#Indian2 Releasing worldwide in cinemas 12th July 2024! #1stSingleFromIndian.”
‘Indian 2: Zero Tolerance’ is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster ‘Indian,’ directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shankar. The original film was celebrated for its compelling storyline, impressive performances, and social message, and the sequel is expected to continue this legacy.
Haasan reprises his iconic role as Senapathy, the vigilante freedom fighter who combats corruption. The film promises to deliver high-octane action, gripping drama, and a powerful narrative that addresses contemporary social issues.
Directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions, ‘Indian 2: Zero Tolerance’ boasts a star-studded cast, including Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh.
The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose first single from the movie is also highly anticipated.
