JioCinema clocks 3.2 crore viewers during IPL 2023 final

On May 29, 2023, JioCinema set a new world record with 3.2 crore concurrent viewers watching the IPL final match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.

Chennai Super Kings won their fifth Indian Premier League title with a five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in a rain-affected but thrilling summit clash on Monday.

JioCinema stated that its IPL 2023 presentation has consistently set new benchmarks and broken records almost every week throughout the season, demonstrating cricket fans’ preference.

On May 26, the streaming platform recorded 2.57 crore concurrent viewers watching Shubman Gill’s sensational century in the first innings of Qualifier 2 of the TATA IPL 2023 between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians.

On April 17, 2.4 crore viewers gathered at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to watch MS Dhoni’s CSK defend against a high-octane run chase from Royal Challengers Bangalore.

This record was set after breaking the previous one set on April 12, when Dhoni nearly pulled off another heist against the Rajasthan Royals.
