Even as ICC has unveiled the brand for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, to be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, it also invited bids for marketing and PR services for the tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched a tender process to appoint a service provider for marketing and public relations services for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be held in October-November 2027.
ICC Business Corporation FZ LLC (IBC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the ICC, said in a press release it is seeking an experienced marketing and PR services provider to develop and deliver an integrated marketing and communications plan aimed at building awareness, driving fan engagement and generating excitement before and during the tournament.
According to the Dubai-headquartered ICC, the appointed agency will work closely with the governing body, the Cricket World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other stakeholders on campaign strategy, creative and content development, milestone activations, media engagement and amplification across key markets.
Interested applicants have been asked to submit their expressions of interest by August 27, 2026, via email.
The ICC said only applicants meeting the selection criteria and having signed the standard non-disclosure agreement will receive the project brief and invitation to tender documentation.
Men’s WC Brand Unveiled: The host cities and the brand (in the picture) for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 were revealed earlier this week at a spectacular launch event in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The pinnacle white-ball tournament returns to Africa after 24 years when the world’s top 14 teams converge for what promises to be the most exciting tournament of its kind for fans around the globe who will either be travelling for the event or following the matches on broadcast and digital channels.
A spirit of unity, diversity and community lies integral to the tournament’s positioning, as the three host nations prepare to stage a global celebration of cricket inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu — I am, because we are — that is rooted in the belief that shared humanity is defined by compassion, kindness and connection to one another.
The inclusive spirit will be the underlying theme of the 2027 edition of the World Cup.
As revealed at the colourful launch event at the Inanda Polo Club that was attended by top cricket officials, current cricketers and legends of the game, sitting at the heart of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 brand is the circular African bowl.
Across Southern Africa, these distinct, circular and culturally symbolic woven bowls and baskets have played a critical role in daily life and tradition, historically used to present harvests, gifts and offerings.
They represent inclusivity, community and hospitality, welcoming the world into the circle to celebrate cricket through the lens of Southern African identity and passion.
