Disney+ Hotstar has revealed that smartphone users across India will have the opportunity to watch the highly anticipated ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 for free on the popular OTT platform.
Following the successful format used during last year’s ODI World Cup and Asia Cup, which garnered record viewership, this move aims to bring cricket enthusiasts closer to the action-packed tournament, Business Standard reported on the plans of Disney+Hotstar.
Scheduled to kick off on June 2, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 comes on the heels of the Indian Premier League, ensuring continued excitement for cricket fans worldwide.
Of particular interest is the highly anticipated clash between rivals India and Pakistan scheduled for June 9, a match expected to draw global attention. Rohit Sharma’s Indian cricket team, popularly known as the Men in Blue, will be vying for glory in this prestigious event, the BS report added.
The first match between the USA and Canada will be played on June 2 at 6 am IST. Hosted by the West Indies and the USA, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has 20 teams battling it out across 55 matches for the coveted title.
