Hombale Films has officially announced its entry into the overseas distribution business, marking a major expansion for the production house that has delivered some of Indian cinema’s biggest theatrical successes in recent years. The company’s first international distribution venture will be ‘PEDDI’, the upcoming pan-Indian film starring Mega Powerstar Ram Charan.
According to a Hombale Films press release, the move signals the banner’s growing ambition to strengthen its global presence and directly participate in the international distribution landscape. After building a strong reputation with blockbuster titles like ‘KGF’, ‘Kantara’ and ‘Salaar’, the production house is now looking to expand its footprint beyond production into worldwide theatrical distribution.
Over the years, Hombale Films has emerged as one of India’s most successful production banners, known for mounting large-scale cinematic spectacles rooted in Indian storytelling while appealing to audiences across regions and languages. The company’s films have consistently performed strongly not only in India but also in overseas markets, helping build a loyal international audience base.
With ‘PEDDI’, Hombale Films will now directly oversee its overseas distribution strategy for the first time. Industry circles are already viewing the development as a significant boost for the film’s global release prospects, especially considering the growing international demand for large-scale Indian theatrical releases.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘PEDDI’ has generated strong buzz ever since its announcement. The film stars Ram Charan in what is being described as an intense and physically transformative role set against a rugged, action-heavy backdrop. The project has further heightened expectations with music composed by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman.
The association between Hombale Films and ‘PEDDI’ has already amplified excitement among trade circles and fans alike, with expectations of a large-scale overseas rollout across key international territories ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
The announcement also comes at a time when Hombale Films continues to expand its production slate aggressively. In 2025, the banner produced ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ and presented ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’. Both films were formally listed in the Academy Awards General Entry List for Oscar consideration, placing them among the global titles eligible for nomination across categories including Best Picture and Best Animated Feature.
The production house is also gearing up for several high-profile projects in the coming years, including ‘Salaar 2’, ‘KGF 3’ and a new project featuring Hrithik Roshan.
By stepping into the overseas distribution space, Hombale Films is further strengthening its long-term vision of taking Indian cinema to wider global audiences while building a more direct presence in international theatrical markets.
