Colors Kannada has concluded its large-scale statewide outreach initiative, ‘Colors Kannadathi’, a first-of-its-kind campaign aimed at celebrating the resilience, achievements, and inspiring journeys of women across Karnataka. Designed as a community-driven movement, the initiative evolved beyond a traditional channel campaign and emerged as a major grassroots engagement programme connecting directly with audiences across the state.
The initiative was rolled out across all 30 districts of Karnataka and witnessed participation from more than 70,000 attendees through over 50 on-ground events and activations. The campaign focused on recognising real women from different walks of life whose stories of courage, leadership, compassion, and determination continue to inspire their communities across both urban and rural regions.
Conceived as more than just a viewer engagement exercise, ‘Colors Kannadathi’ created a platform that amplified local voices and regional stories through cultural showcases, public interactions, community gatherings, and audience-led nominations. The campaign sought to strengthen the emotional connect between the channel and its viewers while celebrating Karnataka’s cultural identity and collective spirit.
One of the key highlights of the initiative was a specially designed ‘Colors Kannadathi’ canter that travelled across all 30 districts after being flagged off from Bengaluru. The moving campaign vehicle became the face of the outreach, creating strong visibility and local engagement through celebrations, public participation activities, and interactions with communities at every stop.
The campaign concluded with the recognition of 30 ‘Colors Kannadathis’ — one woman from each district — who were honoured for making meaningful contributions to society and positively impacting the lives of people around them. These women represented stories of quiet strength and leadership, reflecting the spirit of everyday heroes shaping communities across Karnataka.
Through its extensive on-ground presence and deep regional engagement, the initiative reinforced Colors Kannada’s connection with viewers while creating a larger platform for women’s empowerment, community storytelling, and cultural celebration across the state.
