In a move set to strengthen its presence in one of India’s most dynamic advertising markets, Havas Media India has announced the appointment of Sujata Singh as President – South, tasked with spearheading the agency’s operations across southern India.
Based out of Bengaluru, Singh will report directly to Uday Mohan, COO, Havas Media & Havas Play India, and collaborate closely with the agency’s core leadership team. The appointment is part of Havas Media Network India’s strategy to deepen its footprint in regional markets and enhance client engagement with future-ready leadership.
Sujata Singh’s career spans over 20 years across both brand and agency ecosystems. Most recently, she served as Strategy Consultant at IPG Mediabrands, where she handled flagship accounts such as ITC and Ather Energy, while also contributing to new business acquisitions.
Prior to that, Singh played a key role at Amazon India, where she built and led the company’s media function. Her earlier stints at GroupM and Omnicom saw her working on campaigns for a broad spectrum of industries — from FMCG and retail to automotive and technology. Her client portfolio includes well-known names like Diageo USL, Intel, Puma, Paperboat, Hero MotoCorp, Titan, Dabur India, Perfetti, and Vodafone.
Havas Media India’s southern operations have witnessed rapid expansion in recent years, with significant client acquisitions and retention. Key accounts include Swiggy, Puma, Joyalukkas, and V-Guard, among others. This growth has positioned the South as a critical hub for the network, attracting both emerging brands and unicorns.
Mohit Joshi, CEO of Havas Media Network India, emphasized the importance of this appointment, “Bengaluru remains a critical hub, housing some of our most exciting mandates across Havas Media, Havas Play, and PivotRoots. Sujata’s appointment underscores our commitment to investing in leadership that blends strategic insight with executional excellence. Her expertise will enhance our regional momentum and elevate the client experience in the South.”
Welcoming Singh to the leadership team, Uday Mohan noted her ability to navigate a rapidly evolving market,“Sujata brings a strong blend of strategic depth, client-centricity, and operational leadership that’s critical for our South market ambitions. Her category experience will help sharpen our solutions and further strengthen our position in a market that continues to grow in complexity and opportunity.”
Commenting on her appointment, Singh expressed enthusiasm for joining Havas Media at a transformative time,“I strongly believe in the Havas Village integrated approach, which goes beyond conventional methods to deliver on our Meaningful Brands proposition. The South is an incredibly dynamic market, and I look forward to creating innovative, insight-led media solutions that deliver measurable business impact.”
