Global streaming service Prime Video has announced a sequel to its young-adult romance film ‘Love Me Love Me’, with the new installment titled ‘Love Me Love Me 2’. The upcoming film will continue the story from the first movie, which debuted earlier this year and is based on author Stefania S.’s bestselling novel series that has amassed millions of reads on Wattpad.
The sequel will bring back lead actors Mia Jenkins, Pepe Barroso Silva and Luca Melucci, who reprise their roles from the first film. Director Roger Kumble is also returning to helm the project, continuing the on-screen journey of the central characters and the emotional storylines that resonated with audiences in the original film, a statement from the streamer yesterday stated.
‘Love Me Love Me 2’ will further expand the narrative introduced in ‘Love Me Love Me’, which itself adapts the first part of a four-book saga by Stefania S. The story follows a teenage girl navigating complex relationships and personal challenges at an elite international school, themes that form the foundation of the broader series.
The new film will be an English-language Italian Prime Original co-produced by Lotus Production, a company of Leone Film Group, and Amazon MGM Studios, with support from WEBTOON Productions. Once released, ‘Love Me Love Me 2’ will stream exclusively on Prime Video worldwide.
Prime Video said the sequel aims to build on the popularity of the first film and the global fan base of the book series, bringing the next chapter of the story to audiences across the platform’s international markets.
