Renowned Telugu director Gopichand Malineni, celebrated for his massive action films like ‘Krack’ and ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, has announced an exciting new project.

The filmmaker revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that his next venture will feature Bollywood action superstar Sunny Deol. The film, tentatively titled SDGM, was officially launched on Thursday in Hyderabad with the film’s team in attendance, PTI reported.

Gopichand shared a picture from the launch event on X, alongside a poster displaying the tentative title. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Excited to announce my next project with the Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol sir! Thrilled to be teaming up with @MusicThaman Bawa @RishiPunjabi5 sir, @NavinNooli brother and @artkolla for #SDGM. This venture is being produced by the amazing teams at @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. We need all your support and blessings.”

Sunny Deol also took to X to share his excitement, writing, “Make way for the biggest action film of the country – #SDGM. Starring Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol. Directed by @megopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. MASS FEAST LOADING! Shoot begins soon.”

The film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, along with TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory. This project marks Gopichand Malineni’s debut in Hindi cinema.

The cast includes Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra, with Rishi Punjabi handling cinematography, Thaman S composing the music, Naveen Nooli editing, and Avinash Kolla taking charge of production design. The shooting is set to commence on June 22.

In addition to SDGM, Deol will soon appear in ‘Lahore 1947’ and ‘Border 2’, continuing his legacy as an action movie icon.
