Gaurav Banerjee will continue as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Culver Max Entertainment, which runs under the consumer-facing brand Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), until August 2029, According to a Economic Times report.
His appointment was cleared by shareholders during the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on August 25, through a resolution passed under the Companies Act, 2013.
Banerjee’s appointment, effective from August 2024, marks the regularisation of his position as a full-time director after initially joining the company as an Additional Director. The move gives him a five-year term at the helm of one of India’s largest entertainment networks. Banerjee had succeeded NP Singh as MD and CEO of SPNI last year. Queries sent to the company did not elicit a response until the time of publication.
