Netflix has confirmed that ‘Emily in Paris’ S5 will premiere globally on December 18, 2025, with the streamer unveiling a series of glamorous first-look images that set the stage for Emily’s newest adventures.
According to a UNI report, the new season teases a tale of two cities — Paris and Rome — where Emily navigates love, career, and personal upheavals. Creator Darren Star said, “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris. Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”
The images shared on Netflix and the official ‘Emily in Paris’ social handles showcase Lily Collins’s Emily embracing la dolce vita, from boat rides through Venice’s canals to exploring Roman ruins and embarking on romantic escapades with Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini. The storyline, however, hints at turbulence — a work idea backfires, sparking heartbreak and professional setbacks. As Emily seeks stability, she leans deeper into her French lifestyle until a shocking secret threatens one of her closest relationships.
Season 5 places Emily in charge of Agence Grateau’s Rome office, testing her ability to handle failures, strained relationships, and personal challenges, while pushing her towards deeper clarity and renewed purpose. Returning cast members include Ashley Park, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, and Paul Forman. New faces joining this season are Minnie Driver as Princess Jane and Bryan Greenberg as Jake, while Camille Razat will not be part of the latest chapter.
The fourth season of Emily in Paris set a strong benchmark, topping Netflix’s Global Top 10 in August with 19.9 million views in just four days and maintaining its spot in the charts for weeks across 93 countries. With Season 5, the lingering question remains: can Emily move forward with her new life, or will she return to Paris once again?
