Discovery has announced ‘Declassified: Operation Sindoor’, a two part documentary that will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at India’s 88 hour military operation.

The documentary will premiere exclusively on Discovery and discovery on August 15, the day celebrated as India’s Independence Day. The first part will air at 9 pm, followed by the second part at 10 pm.

According to a Warner Bros. Discovery press release, the documentary explores the events following the Pahalgam terror attack and traces India’s response, from the initial planning and military preparations to the execution of Operation Sindoor.

It features insights from India’s military leadership, ground operatives, defence experts and journalists, offering a detailed account of the operation.

The documentary includes first-hand accounts from people involved in the mission and highlights the strategy, planning and decision-making behind the military campaign. It also offers a look inside India’s war rooms and frontline operations, revealing key moments that have not been shared publicly before.

Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Lifestyle & Kids – South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said the documentary also marks the launch of the company’s new ‘Declassified’ franchise, which aims to bring audiences closer to important moments that have shaped history.

He added that the team approached the project with responsibility, sensitivity and authenticity.
