Dhruv Dhawan, a seasoned media and technology professional, has embarked on a new chapter, joining The Trade Desk as Vice President – Revenue.
This move comes after his impactful stint at Disney+ Hotstar, where he served as the Head of Ads for nearly two years, steering critical initiatives across live sports, entertainment, and the platform’s P&L strategies.
Dhawan announced his transition through a heartfelt LinkedIn post, expressing gratitude for his journey at Disney+ Hotstar. Reflecting on his tenure, he shared, “I loved my time learning the ropes on driving business and operations for live sports and entertainment, finding the balance between free users versus subscribers, and understanding the world of content, especially around P&L and the combined power of linear and digital streaming.” He also thanked industry leaders Ajit Varghese, Sajith Sivanandan, Rishi Gaind, and Kevin Vaz for their mentorship and support.
