Colors Gujarati, the only television channel dedicated exclusively to Gujarati entertainment, is expanding its programming slate with the launch of two new shows that draw deeply from the cultural and emotional fabric of the state.
From February 2, viewers will be treated to a double dose of drama with the devotional saga ‘Gangasati–Paanbai’ airing at 7.30 pm, followed by the romantic family drama ‘Manmelo’ at 9.30 pm.
According to an official press release issued by the channel, the two new launches reflect Colors Gujarati’s continued focus on delivering content that is rooted in Gujarat’s cultural soul, its devotion, literature, emotions and history. Staying aligned with its promise of “Authentic Gujarati Entertainment”, the channel aims to strengthen its bond with audiences through stories that feel meaningful, relevant and emotionally engaging.
Opening a new chapter in its programming journey is ‘Gangasati–Paanbai: Shyam Dhun No Navo Adhyay’. Inspired by the timeless bhajans and devotional poetry of Gujarat’s revered saint-poetesses Gangasati and Paanbai, the show presents their teachings through a contemporary narrative lens. Designed to resonate with today’s generation, the series blends spirituality with human values and introspection, with each episode offering a thoughtful mix of devotional philosophy and soulful music.
Adding a contrasting yet equally compelling narrative is ‘Manmelo’, a family drama that explores relationships shaped by social and economic differences. The story centres on three sisters from a middle-class family whose lives change when they develop emotional bonds with three brothers from an affluent household. As these two worlds come together, the show delves into love, ambition, social divides and emotional responsibility, following each couple as they navigate the complexities of married life. The layered storytelling aims to strike a chord with viewers through its relatable situations and emotional depth.
Commenting on the new launches, a Colors Gujarati spokesperson said the channel remains committed to offering meaningful, high-quality content while staying true to the essence of Gujarati culture. The spokesperson added that ‘Gangasati–Paanbai’ goes beyond devotion to celebrate human values and harmony, while ‘Manmelo’ reflects the emotional choices faced by young audiences as they balance love and responsibility in modern times.
With the premiere of these two shows, Colors Gujarati continues to reinforce its promise of authentic Gujarati entertainment, bringing fresh narratives to television that are firmly anchored in strong storytelling and cultural resonance.
