Hollywood director Christopher Nolan is coming to India for the premiere of his new film ‘The Odyssey’. the movie will release in theatres worldwide on July 17, and Mumbai has been chosen as one of the cities for its global premiere tour.

According to an IMAX press release, Nolan will attend the event along with actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland, and producer Emma Thomas. this will be the first time that a Christopher Nolan film gets an official premiere in India.

The premiere will take place at PVR Icon IMAX in Mumbai’s Phoenix Palladium mall. Mumbai has been included in the film’s international tour along with cities like London, Paris, and New York.

‘The Odyssey’ is based on the famous Greek story of Odysseus, a warrior who spends years trying to return home after a war. The film has been written and directed by Christopher Nolan.

The movie features a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Samantha Morton.

Another special aspect of the film is that it has been shot entirely using IMAX cameras, making it the first feature film to do so.

With Christopher Nolan and several Hollywood stars visiting Mumbai for the premiere, the event is expected to be one of the biggest Hollywood film launches ever held in India.
