The Bombay High Court yesterday reserved for orders the bail application of Partho Dasgupta, former chief executive of India’s audience measurement company BARC India. The accused is in jail since late December 2020 in connection with Tv measurement manipulation scam.
According to legal website Live Law, Dasgupta, arrested on December 24, 2020, is the only accused in the TRP scam being investigated by the Mumbai Police who continues to be in prison. Dasgupta was BARC CEO between June 2013 and November 2019.
Another report put out by Bar and Bench website stated that the hearing before Justice PD Naik on Tuesday witnessed arguments by Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hiray after senior advocate Aabad Ponda had concluded his submissions on Monday.
