Bodhi Tree Multimedia Limited has secured a strategic mandate from the government of Assam to develop, launch, and manage the state’s official digital content platform.
The platform will act as a dedicated digital hub for Assamese culture and content, including entertainment, films, music, heritage programming, live events, and creator led storytelling. It will be available across mobile, web, and connected TV platforms to improve accessibility for audiences in India and globally.
According to a Bodhi Tree Multimedia Limited press release, the project marks a major shift for the company as it expands from a content production business into a platform led digital media and technology company. Under this mandate, Bodhi Tree Multimedia will manage platform development, content strategy, subscription systems, monetisation, and long-term operations.
The initiative places the company at the intersection of digital public infrastructure, regional content ecosystems, and government led cultural digitisation efforts. It is expected to support preservation and promotion of Assamese culture in a modern digital format.
The company said the project could also serve as a scalable model for similar initiatives in other states, as governments increasingly invest in digital cultural platforms and citizen engagement systems. Mogi OTT is the technology partner for the project. The platform will be powered by Google Cloud infrastructure with advanced scalability, CDN support, and Kubernetes-based systems to ensure smooth performance.
According to managing director and CEO Mautik Tolia, the mandate reflects the growing role of media companies in building digital ecosystems that combine storytelling, technology, and distribution infrastructure.
The project is currently in an advanced stage, with core technology development completed and work now focused on branding, content onboarding, and ecosystem expansion. Overall, the development strengthens Bodhi Tree Multimedia’s position in the evolving digital media sector, particularly in platform based and recurring revenue-driven businesses.
