‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ Season 6 has made a powerful entry into Maharashtra’s living rooms, registering a strong opening across both television and digital platforms. Airing simultaneously on Colors Marathi and JioHotstar, the latest season has drawn impressive viewership and engagement, reaffirming the franchise’s position as one of the most influential non-fiction properties in Marathi entertainment.
As per a press release from JioHotstar, the Grand Premiere on Colors Marathi attracted over 5 million viewers in its first week, highlighting the show’s enduring mass appeal. On the digital front, the launch episode on JioHotstar delivered a 2.2x higher reach and a remarkable 6.5x growth in watch-time compared to the Season 5 premiere, indicating a sharp rise in audience interest and deeper engagement.
The momentum continued throughout Week 1, with ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 6’ recording 1.8x higher video views and 1.3x higher watch-time on JioHotstar compared to the previous season. These numbers underline not just strong sampling, but sustained consumption and repeat viewership across platforms.
Commenting on the performance, Sumanta Bose, Cluster Head – Star Plus, Star Bharat and Star Utsav (East and West), JioStar, said that ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ continues to prove its strength as a scalable, multi-platform format. He noted that the show’s success lies in its culturally rooted storytelling and its ability to reflect the sensibilities of Marathi audiences, thereby expanding reach while deepening viewer connection.
A key driver behind the season’s buzz has been host Riteish Deshmukh. From the release of the promos, his sharp one-liners and unmistakable Maharashtrian swagger created strong social media chatter. His now-viral line, “The last season was a hit, but this one will be legendary… are you ready?”, set the tone for what has turned into one of the most talked-about launches in recent times.
On premiere night, Riteish Deshmukh’s confident hosting, authenticity, and high-energy presence transformed the launch into a true event television moment. With 17 contestants entering the house, the very first week delivered intense drama, fiery confrontations, and rapidly evolving equations, keeping audiences hooked from the outset.
The season has also attracted strong brand support, with Danube Properties, Santoor Soap, and Vithoba Premium Herbal Toothpaste as Co-Powered Partners, Dazzler as the Digital Co-Powered Partner, and a wide lineup of special and associate sponsors across television.
With its theme, “The door will open, and destiny’s game shall change,” already playing out through unexpected twists and tasks, ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ Season 6 has quickly become one of the most discussed shows since its launch on January 11, 2026. The show airs every night at 8 pm on Colors Marathi and JioHotstar.
