Apple has unveiled its first foldable iPhone, called the iPhone Duo, at its latest product launch event. The company also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The event was the first major Apple product launch under new CEO John Ternus.

According to a Reuters report today, the iPhone Duo has a book style foldable design. It comes with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, allowing users to use it as a regular smartphone when closed and a larger screen when opened. The device is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and supports multitasking across its two screens.

Apple has priced the iPhone Duo starting at $1,999, making it the company’s most expensive iPhone. The device also supports Apple Pencil, comes with advanced cooling technology and offers up to 2TB of storage. Apple is entering the foldable smartphone market with the new device after competitors have already offered foldable phones for several years.

The company has also launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. These prices are $100 higher than the starting prices of the previous Pro models.

Both Pro models are powered by the A20 Pro chip and feature upgraded camera systems. One of the key camera changes is a 48-megapixel main camera with variable aperture, which allows the camera to adjust to different lighting conditions. Apple has also added new tools to help users identify AI-generated or edited images.

Apple also highlighted its focus on artificial intelligence and privacy. The company is using more on device processing for its AI features, while some tasks can use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system. The company said this approach is designed to provide AI features while keeping user data protected.

The launch also included new Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 models, along with updated AirPods. The new products show Apple’s focus on premium devices, AI features and new ways of using its products.
