Bollywood star Akshay Kumar brought back a wave of nostalgia as he grooved to the evergreen hit ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera’ with music composer Anu Malik during the latest episode of the reality game show ‘Wheel of Fortune’. The moment turned into one of the episode’s highlights, drawing loud cheers from the audience and fellow guests on set.
As per an IANS report, the episode was graced by Karisma Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Anu Malik, making it a celebration of iconic Bollywood music and memories. During his entry, ‘Chura Ke Dil Mera’ was played, prompting Akshay to request that the song be played once again. As the familiar tune filled the studio, Akshay and Anu Malik broke into an impromptu dance, instantly lifting the mood and delighting everyone present.
Praising the legendary composer, Akshay Kumar acknowledged Anu Malik’s contribution to some of his biggest hits. “Yeh gaana Anu ji ka hai, aur sirf yeh hi nahi, meri kai hit filmon jaise Mr and Mrs Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi aur Main Khiladi Tu Anari ka music bhi Anu ji ne diya hai. Thank you, Anu ji, itne yaadgaar gaane dene ke liye,” the actor said on the show.
Returning the compliment, Anu Malik spoke warmly about Akshay’s screen presence and commitment to his craft. Recalling one of Akshay’s iconic moves, the composer remarked that even today, the jump Akshay performed in the song remains unmatched, adding that such moments define Akshay Kumar as a performer.
Akshay responded in his trademark humorous style, quipping that while he appreciated the praise, it was important to remember that he was the host and Anu Malik the guest, drawing laughter from the audience.
Speaking about Wheel of Fortune, Anu Malik described the show as a perfect blend of challenge and fun. He said the unpredictability of the game made it exciting, likening it to a melody where every letter is a note and the final word is a hit. He also lauded Akshay Kumar’s energy as host, calling him the true conductor of the show.
