Times Network’s Hindi news channel Times Now Navbharat has strengthened its editorial leadership team with the appointment of senior journalist and television anchor Rubika Liyaquat as Senior Executive Editor – TNNB and Vice President – Special Projects.

In her new role, Liyaquat will helm the channel’s flagship prime-time programme ‘News Ki Pathshala’ and lead strategic editorial and special content initiatives across the network. The appointment is aimed at further strengthening the channel’s focus on credible journalism and audience-centric storytelling.

A familiar face in Hindi television news, Liyaquat brings nearly two decades of experience across leading news networks, including ABP News, Zee News, Bharat24 and News18 India. Most recently, she served as Consulting Editor at News18 India, where she anchored several key prime-time programmes and gained recognition for her coverage of national affairs, elections and debate-driven news programming.

According to Times Now Navbharat, Liyaquat’s credibility, strong audience connect and journalistic experience make her a valuable addition to the channel’s leadership team. Beyond anchoring, she will contribute to shaping editorial strategy, strengthening audience engagement across the Hindi-speaking markets and developing innovative news formats for television and digital platforms.

As part of its ongoing programming evolution, Times Now Navbharat has also announced a refreshed version of ‘News Ki Pathshala’. The programme will continue its focus on explanatory journalism while introducing enhanced editorial depth, premium graphics, contemporary presentation styles and stronger integration with digital-first consumption habits.

The show, which airs Monday to Friday at 8.50 pm, aims to help viewers navigate complex issues through a conversational and explanatory news format while maintaining its strong connection with audiences across the Hindi heartland.

Welcoming Liyaquat to the network, Times Now Navbharat said her ability to shape national conversations and connect with viewers has established her as one of the most influential voices in Hindi television news. The network added that her experience will play an important role in the next phase of growth for the channel.

Commenting on her new role, Liyaquat said she was excited to join Times Network and contribute to a platform that has played a significant role in shaping national discourse. She noted that ‘News Ki Pathshala’ has built a unique identity by simplifying complex issues for viewers and expressed her commitment to strengthening audience trust through impactful journalism.

The appointment is expected to further bolster Times Now Navbharat’s position in the Hindi news segment as it continues to focus on delivering clarity, context and credible news analysis to viewers across India.
