Following its remarkable and record-shattering global box office run, ‘Dhurandhar (Part One)’ is now set to expand its international journey with a theatrical release in Japan on July 10, 2026. The Aditya Dhar directorial, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, continues to build on its strong worldwide momentum, marking yet another milestone for the film.
According to a PTI report, the Japan release comes after an extraordinary performance across major global markets, where the film not only delivered record-breaking numbers but also opened up newer territories for Indian cinema. The first instalment of the spy action entertainer had already amassed over Rs 1328 crore worldwide following its global release on December 5, 2025.
The film’s international performance has been particularly notable, emerging as the No. 1 Hindi film of all time in North America, while also becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever in Canada and Australia. It has also ranked among the top-performing Indian films in the UK, further cementing its position as a major global success story.
With its blend of large-scale action, layered storytelling and genre appeal, ‘Dhurandhar (Part One)’ is expected to resonate with Japanese audiences as well. The film brings together high-octane action sequences with drama and emotional depth, offering a cinematic experience that travels well across cultural boundaries.
Led by Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. Written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, the project is also produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
