The release of Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has been postponed, with the makers deciding to push back its earlier announced theatrical debut of June 4, 2026. The team has opted to realign its release strategy to ensure a wider and more impactful global rollout, signalling bigger ambitions for the film on the international stage.
According to a PTI report, the decision comes after the film was showcased at CinemaCon, where it received an encouraging response from international distributors and industry stakeholders. The makers believe the film has the potential to travel across markets and are now working towards maximising its global reach.
Sharing his thoughts on the development, Yash said that ‘Toxic’ has been a special journey for the team and one that goes beyond just another film release. He noted that presenting the film at CinemaCon and witnessing the strong global response reaffirmed their belief that the project deserves to reach audiences worldwide in the best possible way.
“There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. Toxic has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed — that this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide,” he said.
While a new release date is yet to be announced, the postponement indicates a strategic move to position Toxic as a major global offering rather than a routine domestic release. With heightened expectations following its international showcase, the film is now being prepared for a broader and more coordinated worldwide debut.
