Bollywood actor Ali Fazal is set to appear in a romantic “lover boy” avatar in the upcoming anthology ‘Lust Stories 3’, which promises to explore modern relationships with emotional depth and intimacy.
According to a report by UNI, the new installment of the popular franchise will present a contemporary love story, with Fazal portraying a deeply personal and emotionally layered character. The project is part of Netflix’s widely watched ‘Lust Stories’ series, known for examining themes of love, desire and human vulnerability through multiple narratives.
Fazal was last seen in ‘Metro in Dino’, where he portrayed a sensitive musician navigating the complexities of relationships and emotions. Continuing this romantic trajectory, Lust Stories 3 will once again place the actor in a character driven by feelings, relationships and introspection.
In the upcoming segment, Fazal will share the screen with Radhika Madan, while the film will be directed by filmmaker Shakun Batra, who is widely known for his nuanced and sensitive portrayal of modern relationships.
Speaking about the project, Fazal said the story came to him at a time when he was keen to explore something emotionally honest and authentic. He praised Batra’s approach to filmmaking, noting that the director has a distinctive way of understanding human behaviour and allows actors the freedom to live their characters rather than simply perform them.
The actor added that the story portrays love, desire and vulnerability in a realistic manner, and that returning to a romantic role after a long time gave him a sense of creative freedom within the framework of contemporary storytelling.
Part of Netflix’s successful ‘Lust Stories’ franchise, the third installment aims to offer a fresh and modern perspective on relationships, continuing the anthology’s tradition of exploring intimate emotions and personal connections through compelling narratives.
