The makers of the comedy film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ have announced that the film will hit cinema halls across the country on May 15.
The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, alongside Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi, and promises a fresh dose of humour rooted in contemporary relationships.
According to a PTI report, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is positioned as a laughter-packed entertainer and serves as a follow-up to the 2019 hit ‘Pati Patni Aur Who’.
The earlier film was a remake of the 1978 classic starring Sanjeev Kumar and Vidya Sinha, and went on to perform well at the box office, striking a chord with audiences through its modern take on marriage and misunderstandings.
The new instalment is once again directed by Mudassar Aziz, who also helmed the 2019 version. While the earlier film featured Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday, the sequel introduces a new cast and is expected to explore a different comic dynamic while retaining the franchise’s signature humour.
With Ayushmann Khurrana known for his strong presence in socially rooted yet entertaining films, and Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi bringing their own distinct energy to the screen, expectations are high from the project. The film’s title hints at a twist on the familiar premise, suggesting an expanded storyline built around relationships, confusion and comedy.
‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on May 15, setting the stage for a major summer comedy outing at the box office.
