Pocket FM has announced its integration with Amazon Alexa, bringing its extensive library of audio series to Alexa users across India. The move allows listeners to access Pocket FM’s long-form, episodic audio stories seamlessly on Alexa-enabled devices, including Echo smart speakers and smart displays, using simple voice commands.
According to a report from Deadline, India is the first market where this integration has gone live, marking a significant milestone in Pocket FM’s effort to make audio storytelling more accessible and deeply embedded in everyday routines. Alexa users can now begin listening by simply saying, “Alexa, start Pocket FM,” opening up a hands-free, immersive storytelling experience.
The collaboration has been designed to ensure continuity and ease of use. Existing Pocket FM listeners can link their accounts through the Alexa app and resume listening from where they last stopped, without losing track of their stories. First-time users, meanwhile, can explore genres, discover recommendations, and start audio series from the first episode directly through Alexa. Several hours of content are available for free without account linking, while listeners are guided smoothly to link or create a Pocket FM account when they choose to continue beyond paywalls.
