‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ has emerged as a runaway success for Prime Video, becoming the streaming platform’s most-watched unscripted Original series.
The show, hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna and produced by Banijay Asia, has reached audiences in over 93 percent of India’s pincodes, marking an impressive debut season that has also sparked conversations nationwide, the Prime Video said in a press release.
In its statement celebrating the milestone, the platform said the show’s candid format, star-studded lineup and refreshing tone played a key role in its success.
The first season featured prominent Bollywood names including Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar. The finale added to the buzz by bringing together cricket World Cup champions Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma for a special episode. Streaming not just in India but across more than 240 countries and territories, ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ quickly became one of the most discussed talk shows of the year.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the enthusiastic reception reflects the show’s ability to bring a “refreshing new perspective” to the talk-show space. He credited the unfiltered chemistry between Kajol and Twinkle for elevating the series, noting that their dynamic exchanges with guests triggered wide-ranging online conversations and helped the show resonate across demographics.
Mrinalini Jain, Group Chief Development Officer at Banijay Asia & Endemol Shine India, shared that the team always expected the hosts’ pairing to be special but the larger-than-anticipated cultural momentum was a pleasant surprise. “Together, we delivered their most-watched unscripted series, truly binge-worthy and impossible to ignore,” she said.
Twinkle Khanna reflected on the show’s warm reception, calling it a space where friends could be real, expressive and nostalgic. She said the heart of the show lies in “revelations and candor,” which evidently struck a chord with viewers across the country.
Kajol echoed the sentiment, adding that being on the interviewer’s side for a change felt “wonderfully refreshing.” She said working alongside Twinkle, “one of the funniest and sharpest women I know,” made the experience memorable, and praised the guests for bringing their “unfiltered energy” to each episode.
With the series topping charts and sparking widespread social media chatter, ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ has firmly cemented itself as one of Prime Video’s standout successes in the unscripted category.
