Entertainment lovers no longer have to juggle multiple logins, renewal dates and subscription costs, with Airtel introducing prepaid packs that bring access to more than 25 OTT platforms under one plan. The new offering allows users to watch premium content from Netflix, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and a host of regional platforms through Airtel Xstream Play Premium, making streaming simpler and more affordable.
According to a PNN report, Airtel’s prepaid packs have been designed to streamline how users consume digital content by bundling major OTT subscriptions with calling, SMS and data benefits. Subscribers can access over 50,000 movies, shows and web series, along with live TV channels and sports coverage spanning cricket, football, tennis and wrestling.
Airtel Xstream Play aggregates content from platforms such as SonyLIV, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Aha and manoramaMAX, along with free-streaming apps like MX Player and VROTT. Regional content is strongly represented with Aha for Telugu and Tamil, Sun NXT for South Indian languages, Hoichoi for Bengali, manoramaMAX for Malayalam, and Chaupal for Punjabi, while ShemarooMe adds a multilingual bouquet. International titles from Lionsgate Play and Eros Now also feature in the line-up.
The company has simplified the claiming process for subscriptions. For Netflix, users need to recharge with the Rs.279 plan, download the Airtel Xstream Play app, and activate the Basic Netflix plan through the “Claim Your OTT Subscription” section, with billing handled via Airtel. Other platforms such as ZEE5 follow a similar process, while JioHotstar subscriptions are typically auto-activated.
Airtel Xstream Play is compatible with Android and iOS devices, desktops via the airtelxstream.in website, and smart TVs including Android TV and Apple TV. The Airtel Xstream Box further enhances the experience with pre-installed access to all partner platforms. Users can easily track renewals and validity of subscriptions under the “My Plans” section of the app.
With the bundled OTT access, Airtel has positioned its prepaid packs as a comprehensive entertainment solution, addressing the growing demand for convenience, value and variety in India’s streaming ecosystem.
