News18 India has emerged as the leading Hindi news channel in the country, securing the number one spot in the latest viewership data released by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) for Week 20 of 2025.
As per a press note shared by News18, the channel clocked 119124 AMA’000s, inching ahead of its closest competitor Aaj Tak, which stood at 117819 AMA’000s. Other prominent channels followed, with TV9 Bharatvarsh at 103286 AMA’000s, Republic Bharat at 93207 AMA’000s, and Zee News with 87641 AMA’000s. The data reflects viewership across all days and 24-hour time bands for NCCS All 15+ audience in the HSM (Hindi Speaking Markets).
News18 India attributes its continued leadership to its factual, credible and sharp news coverage, combined with a line-up of trusted news anchors including Kishore Ajwani, Amish Devgan, Rubika Liyaquat, Prateek Trivedi and Aman Chopra.
