Sony Sports Network will bring live coverage of the Women’s Asian hockey Champions Trophy 2024, set to take place at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar from November 11 to 20.
Hockey fans across South Asia, including India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, can tune in to watch the action on Sony Sports Ten 1 SD and HD channels and stream it live on SonyLIV.
India’s women’s hockey team, led by Salima Tete and vice-captain Navneet Kaur, enters the tournament as the defending champion after winning the title in Ranchi in 2023. The team has claimed the trophy twice and faces strong competition from teams like Olympic silver medalist China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.
The tournament kicks off on November 11 with India’s first match against Malaysia at 19.30 IST. India needs a top-four finish to advance to the semi-finals on November 19, with the final set for November 20.
This event will mark India’s first Asian competition under Chief Coach Harendra Singh, appointed earlier this year.
