Sheeba Chaddha, renowned for her roles in ‘Mirzapur’ and acclaimed films, is set to join Riz Ahmed’s upcoming comedy series on Prime Video.
The series, which is still untitled, is created by Ahmed and developed under his production company, Left Handed, in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, PTI reported.
Chaddha will be part of an ensemble cast that includes Aasiya Shah, Sajid Hasan, and Guz Khan. While her role remains under wraps, the series promises an engaging mix of comedy and drama.
Ahmed, who is also writing and co-showrunning the series with Ben Karlin, stars as Shah Latif, a struggling actor entangled in both an existential crisis and a conspiracy thriller.
This series marks Ahmed’s return to television following his Emmy-winning performance in ‘The Night Of’.
The show is produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios, with Ahmed, Allie Moore, Jake Fuller, Karlin, and Roopesh Parekh serving as executive producers.
