Streaming giant Netflix has officially greenlit a second season for the uproarious courtroom comedy series, ‘Maamla Legal Hai’, continuing its streak of delivering top-notch entertainment to global audiences.
The announcement comes following the resounding success of the show’s debut season, which premiered on Netflix on March 1, PTI reported.
Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Nidhi Bisht, and Yashpal Sharma, ‘Maamla Legal Hai’ takes viewers inside the fictional Patparganj District Court, offering a delightful blend of humour, heart, and legal intricacies.
Created by Sameer Saxena and written by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja, the series presents a refreshing perspective on the world of law, showcasing a diverse group of lawyers ranging from idealistic rookies to seasoned veterans.
In the series, Kishan portrays VD Tyagi, the charismatic president of the Patparganj Bar Association, whose ambition knows no bounds as he aspires to become the Attorney General of India. Alongside Kishan, Bisht, Grewal, Batra and Rajoria shine in their respective roles as lawyers working under Tyagi’s leadership.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming reception of the show, Sameer Saxena, the showrunner, emphasized the genuineness and humour that resonated with audiences. He expressed excitement about collaborating with Netflix for another season, promising to delve deeper into the corridors of Patparganj District Court and explore fresh cases and shenanigans.
