YouTube, under the ownership of tech giant Google, has launched a captivating incentive for potential subscribers to its premium service by introducing an array of mini-games called ‘Playables.’
This offering of more than 30 mini-games aims to engage users without the need for any downloads, marking an enticing addition to the Premium subscription perks.
Users can easily access the ‘Playables collection by scrolling through the designated shelf on the Home page or by clicking on the ‘Playables’ link within the Explore menu on both desktop and mobile interfaces, as per reports from IANS.
Among the diverse selection of games available, users can find titles like Daily Solitaire, The Daily Crossword, Angry Birds Showdown, Merge Pirates, Farm Land, Words of Wonder, Endless Siege, 8 Ball Billiards Classic, and Brain Out.
However, YouTube has noted that the availability of these games is temporary, with a statement indicating their playability only until March 28.
This limited-time access suggests that YouTube may be leveraging this period to gather crucial feedback from its Premium subscribers before potentially expanding its gaming offerings in the future.
Simultaneously, YouTube has disclosed ongoing experiments with cutting-edge generative AI features, introducing the concept of creating music tracks through text prompts or even a hummed tune. One such experiment, named Dream Track, is integrated into YouTube Shorts and powered by Google DeepMind’s state-of-the-art music generation model, Lyria.
