In an exclusive interview with News18 India, BJP’s National President JP Nadda outlined the party’s vision and strategies for the upcoming state elections.
In a candid conversation with Amish Devgan, Managing Editor of News18’s regions – UPUK, MPCG & Rajasthan, Nadda expressed unwavering confidence in the BJP securing a significant three-fourth majority in the forthcoming Rajasthan assembly elections.
As per a press release, Nadda addressing various political dynamics, emphasized the party’s determined stance to form governments in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh while highlighting the strong prospects in Telangana, aiming for robust governance across states. He defended the strategic decision of fielding sitting MPs in assembly elections, attributing it to a larger plan.
The interview also broached recent ED raids, with Nadda asserting the necessity of immediate scrutiny in cases involving substantial financial transactions, citing the Mahadev App scandal.
On the contentious topic of caste-based census, Nadda dismissed it as politically motivated, criticizing the Congress for opportunism and accusing them of long-term neglect of backward classes.
Addressing allegations of dynasty politics within the BJP, Nadda drew attention to similar practices in various political parties, emphasizing their prevalence across the spectrum.
Regarding the construction of the Shree Ram Mandir, Nadda rejected claims of electoral influence, refuting opposition views.
Concluding the interview, Nadda reiterated the BJP’s commitment to governance based on development and public welfare while criticizing the Congress for alleged corruption during their tenures.
