Prime Video has announced October 23 as the global premiere date for its upcoming Hindi Original series ‘Chaar Yaar’, an eight-episode crime drama set in early-2000s Mumbai. The series follows four friends whose struggle to improve their lives draws them into the criminal underworld, putting their friendship and future at risk.

The series stars Purav Jha, Naman Jain, Saqib Ayyub and Prayrak Mehta in the lead roles, with Sai Tamhankar, Sikandar Kher, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Tailang, Chunky Panday and Bhagavathi Perumal in pivotal roles.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s middle-class life in the early 2000s, ‘Chaar Yaar’ follows Jay, Tony, Saahil and Sameer as they balance family responsibilities and their aspirations for a better future. Their close friendship takes a dramatic turn when a decision made out of necessity pulls them into a world of crime, gangsters and police pursuit.

What begins as an attempt to change their circumstances soon develops into a dangerous chain of events, forcing the four friends to confront the consequences of their choices. As the stakes rise, their friendship becomes their strongest support amid mounting threats.

Directed by Vinay Waikul and written by Sambit Mishra and Saurabh Sawant, the series is created by Waikul, S. Hussain Zaidi, Mishra and Sawant. It is produced by Pranati Nagarsheth, Niraj Nagarsheth and P.S. Shyam under the banner of Pink Window Production Pvt. Ltd., and developed by BBC Studios India.

‘Chaar Yaar’ will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on October 23, 2026.
