The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had extended the submission date for a consukltation process on “Review of Regulatory Framework for Broadcasting and Cable services”.
The consultation paper was floated by the regulator on August 8 and the last date of receiving comments from the stakeholders on the issues raised was September 5, while the counter-comments deadline was September 19.
“Keeping in view the requests received from the stakeholders for extension of time for submission of comments…it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of comments and counter-comments up to September 19 and October 3, 2023, respectively,” the regulator yesterday said.
The industry stakeholders had cited a busy schedule for submissions to various government consultations, including those initiated by TRAI, while seeking an extension for this broadcast and cable services paper.
